Mildly Interesting

I went to WalMart yesterday and among the other things I needed, I "needed" to buy cards, too.  That said, I saw a 11.99 box of 2010 Topps, but I couldn't bring myself to have all of those extra cards lying around--cards that I already have three and four of.  The patch card in the box was appealing, but I decided to go with something cheaper, and newer.

So far I have only opened one blaster of 2013 Topps. I am trying to not wind up with three and four of each card this time around with the 2013 releases. I am going to be more selective about what I purchase, and while I will have the occasional rack pack and loose pack, I will probably just buy a few hobby boxes of products I really, really want to rip.  What those are will be determined, but I can tell you that it is not series one.

The first thing I'd like to show from the rack pack is something I found mildly interesting. And if this is something that happens in every rack pack and I just realized it, then I will feel pretty dumb.
That's right: I pulled the base card of each blue parallel card I received.  Cool...or not?

I have lots of other cards to show off from this rack pack, but for now I have to end the post and go back to work.  Work has kept me from posting as much as I'd like.  I hate when life gets in the way of collecting!

  1. That is weird. I have purchased maybe 3 or 4 rack packs and maybe one card matched a blue parallel in the same pack.

    Must be a MD thing.

  2. Getting two cards of Sabathia (or any Yankee for that matter) is never cool.

  3. That's happened to me, too. So it's not an MD thing.
